Passing of Dai Dower & council's response

It was sad news to hear this week of the passing of that great boxer Dai Dower. One of Wales's great little fighters that almost wen't to a world title. A clever boxer with a very potent left jab that left most of his opponents running for cover.
R I P Dai and Thanks for the memories.
I also notice that the local council over there awarded him the freedom of the town now.
Had they they done that 50 years ago it might have meant something to him but to award it now is nothing short of pathetic in my view.
Typical of a government department. Is it any wonder the ordinary man in the street has " NO RESPECT " for them these days.
A shambolic gesture at this stage. Should be ashamed of themselves.
