Looking for my great grandfather's family

I am looking for any ancestors of my great grandfather William Ebeneezer Davies. He was born in the mid 1800's and came to the U.S. in the late 1800's or early 1900's.
He had a son(and more children, but I don't know their names)named Charles William Davies, he is my grandfather. I am not sure if they immigrated to the U.S. before or after the birth of my grandfather.
I hope to see my family's ancestral home at least once before I die!

Charles William DAVIES is quite a common name in Wales, particularly the Valleys. Have you any further details, eg place of birth, name of wife, children etc, that could assist?

Hello Rebecca
I've been doing some research for you from a variety of sources. I'll just give you an idea of what I've uncovered and see if anything fits in with what you know.
A William Ebenezer Davies was born on Feb 9th 1879 in Aberdare [part of the Merthyr Tydfil Registration District]. On Sept 5th 1900 he married Annie Williams in Belmont County, Ohio. She was living in Martin's Ferry, he in Wheeling, W Va. but just across the river from each other. He was 21 and Annie 20.
William's father is named as William Davies - his mother - Emily Elms. Annie's parents were Rhys T Williams & Mary James. All four parents and the bridal couple were born in Wales.
It appears that William, his parents and siblings arrived in the US in 1894/95. The marriage listed above places the family as living on the Ohio/West Virginia border. The 1920 census confirms this fact - the couple were living at Richie, Ohio County, W Va. Details show that William became a US citizen in 1901. At the time of the Census he was 40 and employed as a Roller in a Tinplate Company. A family of 7 children is listed including Charles [your grandfather]who was the third oldest.
The 1930 & 1940 Censuses place the family in California. Both show that the family were living were living in Pittsburg, Contra Costa County. William's death occurred on June 6th 1952 in Contra Costa County. His parents surnames were given as Davies & Elms thus confirming the detail given earlier.
I have uncovered more information and can detail the sources used. I can probably find out a little more about your Welsh ancestry as well as furnishing you with more details of the family in the USA. Please let me know if this the correct family line - I can then post the rest of the information I've collected.

Thank you SO MUCH for your patience--I only recently went back to twitter and saw your response to me about my ancestors.
