Young People representing YFC clubs from all over Wales will represent their County Federations in the Wales YFC English and Welsh Drama Competitions to be held during the Entertainment Feast weekend at The Grand Theatre in Swansea on Saturday the 2nd and Sunday the 3rd of March.
This event is one of the highlights of the Wales YFC calendar and it will be a showcase of YFC talents. This competition gives members the opportunity to perform on a professional stage with up to date facilities and assistance from experienced stage managers.
A Welsh session will kick off the proceedings at 10.30am with Dinas Mawddwy YFC; Meirionnydd, Rhosybol YFC; Ynys Môn, Ysbyty Ifan YFC; Eryri, and a County performance from Brecknock YFC. The second session of the day will begin at 5.30pm where Dyffryn Banw YFC; Montgomery, Llanddewi Brefi YFC; Ceredigion, Fishguard YFC; Pembrokeshire and finally Dyffryn Cothi; Carmarthenshire will take to the stage. The English Drama’s will start at 11.30am the following day. Performing will be Llanfynydd YFC; Carmarthenshire, Dyffryn Tanat YFC; Montgomery, Cantal YFC; Radnor and Bedwas YFC; Gwent. The final session of the weekend which will start at 6pm with Builth Wells YFC; Brecknock, Maendy YFC; Glamorgan, and bringing the Entertainment Feast to a close will be South Pembs YFC; Pembrokeshire.
Also taking part in between the Drama’s will be a new competition for 2013; Time to Shine. This will see clubs performing a piece in less than six minutes in front of the curtain on The Grand stage.
Tickets are now on sale from the Swansea Grand box office (01792 475715) and those wishing to attend will be able to purchase a session ticket, a day ticket or a gala ticket for the whole weekend.
