WALES YFC: SUPPORTING THE HEARTS OF WALES

WALES YFC: SUPPORTING THE HEARTS OF WALES

Wales YFC conquers The Sugarloaf Mountain in the first of their ’12 YFC Peaks’.

Gwent YFC hosted the first of the ‘YFC 12 Peaks’, where members and supporters joined Wales YFC Chairman, Gwenno Griffith in her challenge to climb the highest peaks in each of the County Federations across Wales.

Each year the Wales YFC Chairman chooses a charity to support for the year. This year Gwenno has chosen the British Heart Foundation: Cymru and their ‘No Time to Wait’ campaign.

After the trek Gwenno remarked; "It was great to get the walking started and the first peak conquered with over 30 Gwent YFC members taking on the challenge, whilst raising money for this important appeal.”

Wales YFC aims to raise enough money to fund a defibrillator in each of their 12 counties across Wales; enabling vital access to these lifesaving machines for people in rural Wales.

Gwenno will make her way around Wales, and finish with our highest peak, Snowdon in September 2013.

Gwenno welcomes as much support as possible so if you’d like to join in or give a donation please contact the Wales YFC Centre on 01982 553502 for more details. You can also donate at Wales YFC’s Just Giving page www.justgiving.com/CFfIYFC
