WALES YFC SPORTING SUCCESS

YFC Carmarthen Netball teem

The Wales Federation of Young Farmers Clubs sports day was held at Aberystwyth University on Sunday the 22nd June. The day gave YFC members, from all over Wales, the opportunity to come together and participate in sporting activities in order to improve their confidence and skills as well as their overall fitness.

During the day, teams representing various County Federations from across Wales competed in the Wales YFC dodge ball, 5 a side football, mixed hockey, netball, touch rugby and rounders.

Radnor were the winners of the mixed hockey. The boys from Montgomery won the men’s five-a-side football. Ceredigion were victorious in both the dodgeball and rounders. And Carmarthenshire won the netball and the touch rugby.

Gwennan Jenkins, Wales YFC’s Competitions Chairman said;
"On, what was a, beautiful summer’s day hundreds of members travelled to Aberystwyth University campus to compete against each other in six diverse competitions. The standard of entries was exceptional and everyone enjoyed themselves and supported their counties. Congratulations to those who came out on top and good luck to the teams that will represent Wales at the National finals over the summer."
