At the recent Royal Welsh Winter Fair Aled Jones, Dyffryn Cothi YFC, Carmarthenshire was awarded a place at the Oxford Farming Conference, kindly sponsored by Marks & Spencer.

The annual Oxford Farming Conference discusses the major issues in agriculture and this year’s event will be held from the 6th-8th of January.

Leading agricultural experts will be discussing a wide range of topics including the latest industry innovations. It is a unique opportunity to hear about and discuss what is happening in the industry, and where the future lies.

Aled Jones will attend the conference on behalf of Wales YFC and will report back to the organisation on his experience following the event. Aled said;

“I am thoroughly looking forward to attending the 2014 Conference and am absolutely delighted to be representing Wales YFC and M&S. With agriculture going through a significant period of change at the moment, the need for farming business to adapt and evolve has never been greater. Therefore, the topic of where to find opportunities in agriculture is a very relevant and timely one.”

Former Wales YFC Chairman and Oxford Farming Conference delegate, Tim John, said;
“The Oxford Farming Conference is a unique opportunity to preview the future of farming with a chance to hear from the Professors who study the theories and the farmers who put them into practise.”
