An exciting new specialist shop for mobility products has opened its doors in Pontyclun.

Vision Mobility, which is run next to Vision Products on Coedcae Lane Industrial Estate, is the place to go to try out the very latest mobility scooters, walking aids and other equipment that will help you around the home.

The new store offers a wide range of top-quality mobility aids at affordable prices, including a whole array of accessories from wheelchairs and scooters to rise and recliner chairs, bath lifts, beds, walking sticks and Cosyfeet slippers and shoes.

Owned by Rhondda Cynon Taf Council and managed by Vision Products, the shop is based at ground level with easy access for all shoppers.

On visiting the new shop Cllr Craig Middle, Cabinet Member for Social Justice, said, “Vision Products offers an amazing community equipment service throughout South East Wales, consisting of community equipment for disabled people such as walking aids and adapted furniture.

“The business is continuing to grow and provide further employment opportunities. This was evident with the introduction last year of an apprenticeship scheme for young disabled people which provided employment and training opportunities.”

This is the third retail unit launched by Vision Products, with others operating in Newport and Aberdare. Vision Products also provides a range of services from its bases in Pontyclun and Newport which consist of integrated community equipment services and a successful PVCU department.

With the aim of providing cost effective employment and development opportunities for people with disabilities, Vision Products has just celebrated its 20th anniversary.

“On celebrating its 20th anniversary, I am delighted to see the opening of this new Vision Mobility shop which provides a valuable service to people with mobility issues.

“Our trained staff are warm and friendly and are on hand to offer advice and information to customers and their families on the products available.”

The new Vision Mobility shop is situated at 1 Green Park, Coedcae Lane Industrial Estate in Pontyclun. Opening hours are Monday to Friday, 9.30am - 4.30pm.
