Tŷ Hafan is looking for adventurous participants to take part in its multi-activity physical challenge event "Do you Dare" on Saturday 23 March at Dare Valley Country Park in Aberdare.

This year’s event, sponsored by Foster Care Associates Cymru, is not for the faint hearted. Teams will be challenged to run, think and balance their way through activities including mountain biking, fell running, canoeing and archery.

Now in its second year, the challenge offers an elite option for the more courageous participants. It’s just the sort of event to launch you into an adventurous 2013!

"We are very excited to be repeating this fantastic event for Tŷ Hafan," said Sali Thomas, Event Organiser.

"Participants can either sign up for a challenge or take part in an elite option to test their abilities at a more hard core level. Both disciplines require a good level of fitness and will certainly be good fun for teams of friends and colleagues. We have been working closely with RCT Education and Outdoor Fitness Ltd at the country park and I think participants will really enjoy the challenges they’ll face on the day.”

Teams will be asked to raise sponsorship to take part in the event which will be contributing to the care and support Tŷ Hafan provides to an ever-increasing number of life-limited children, young people and their families accessing its services.

As an added incentive, the team who submits the most sponsorship by 30 June 2013, will win a Kindle Fire HD for each team member courtesy of Western Power Distribution.
