Bilingual Media Production Students have walked away with the award for Best Digital Content at the Theatre Critics of Wales Awards.

Working in collaboration with Native HQ and Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol the University of South Wales students were responsible for creating digital content for a production by the National Theatre of Wales, Y Bont, in 2013.

Under the Supervision of Carl Morris and Tom Beardshaw, the students spent many hours over two days following and recording events in Aberystwyth to ensure multi-media digital presence during the course of the site specific production.

Taking place at Cardiff’s Sherman Theatre for the second year, the evening was hosted by BBC Radio Wales presenter Nicola Haywood Thomas and consisted of a variety of awards presented to professional theatre makers in a number of categories.

“We’re very grateful for the excellent work from the students at the University,” Carl Morris, Native HQ.
