Another month, another set of ambulance response stats, and the news doesn't get better.
As reported by BBC Wales, the Welsh Ambulance Service has missed its response time target for the most urgent cases for the 16th consecutive month. This against a not particularly ambitious target of 65% of all emergency calls to be answered within eight minutes.
In RCT we are yet again at the bottom of the table, with only 52.8% reaching the target time during September. Month after month we are seeing the same pattern, and Wales continues to underperform compared to England.
From ambulance response times to A&E waiting times, to the amount of time it takes for cancer patients to start treatment, we are constantly behind. As Labour MP Ann Clwyd said Wales is behind England in every instance yet the Welsh Labour Government refuses to remove its head from the sand, take responsibility and act.
