Trealaw pupils meet the Mayor

Pupils from Trealaw Primary School met Rhondda Cynon Taf Mayor Cllr Ann Crimmings during a special visit to her parlour.

The children who visited are all members of the Trealaw School Council. The Mayor welcomed the youngsters to her parlour and told them all about her role, and about the charities she is supporting during her year in office.

Cllr Crimmings has chosen to support Guide Dogs Cymru, Macmillan Cancer Support (RCT) and Diabetes Peer Support for Children (RCT) through the Mayor’s Charity Appeal.

Sarah Davies from Guide Dogs Cymru brought in two dogs in training, Danny and Tommy, and told the children how the dogs are trained to help visually-impaired people.

Mayor Cllr Crimmings said: "It was a pleasure to meet the pupils from Trealaw Primary, who are all working to address issues of importance in school and are supporting their classmates."

Donations to the Mayor’s Charity Appeal can be now be made through a new secure online service. Please visit the Mayor's page
