Porth Road Closure: Sunday April 13

Road closure in Porth

Road closure in Porth

Residents and motorists have been thanked for their patience and cooperation as the Council delivered essential road regeneration work in Porth this weekend.

They are also being reminded road closures will return to the area on Sunday, April 13, to enable the highways investment to be completed.

The important work to resurface Porth Street forms part of the Council’s ongoing commitment to respond to the public demand that continues in relation to the condition of roads and highways.

In order to minimise disruption, the works are taking place on a Sunday, when traffic levels are lower, thereby avoiding busy rush hour and Saturday periods.

The closures take place from 7am to 4pm (or until the works are completed) and will see Porth Street closed from the Bicycle Doctors to Humphrey’s Funeral home.

Diversions will be in place throughout both of the Sundays and motorists are urged to follow signage instructions. Letters will also be delivered to residential homes affected, informing occupants of alternative routes home.
