Do you have what it takes to cycle from Park To Park in aid of the Rhondda Cynon Taf Mayor’s Charity Appeal?
Park To Park is a 13-mile charity bike ride, organised by Rhondda Cynon Taf Council, starting at the award-winning YnysangharadWarMemorial Park in Pontypridd, and finishing at the picturesque ButePark in Cardiff.
Organisers are encouraging riders of all ages and abilities to sign up to the challenge, raising a sponsorship target of £100 per person. It is not a race but a fundraising event along the Taff Trail.
Park To Park, which takes place on Sunday, April 27, gets underway at 11am, with registration open on the day from 9.30am onwards.
Cllr Ann Crimmings, Mayor of Rhondda Cynon Taf, said: “It promises to be a fantastic event, with all proceeds going to my chosen charities - Macmillan Cancer Support (RCT), Guide Dogs Cymru and Diabetes Peer Support for Children.
“These are three charities that remain very close to my heart, and I am delighted to be giving all proceeds of my Mayor’s Charity Appeal to these causes during my term of office.
“There is a common theme linking my three chosen charities this year - each one of them makes a difference and transforms the lives of people living in our County Borough.
“I urge as many people as possible, during these tough times, to support the Park To Park Challenge in aid of worthy causes, either by taking part or by sponsoring our riders.”
The 13-mile Park To Park charity bike ride starts at 11am at YnysangharadWarMemorial Park, Pontypridd, on Sunday, April 27, with registration open on the day from 9.30am.
