A new Wales YFC officer team was recently elected by Wales YFC members at various meetings and each new officer is eager to develop their committee.

In the Rural Affairs committee, responsible for discussing rural issues within the YFC and beyond, Jonathan Williams of Presteigne YFC in Radnor was elected as the committee chairman and Iwan Thomas of Llannon YFC in Carmarthenshire was elected as their vice-chairman.

Aled Johnson, from Eglwyswrw YFC, Pembrokeshire was elected as the Activities and International committee chairman. This committee is responsible for creating, discussing and deciding on the competitions and international programme for Wales YFC. Also during the meeting Gwennan Davies, a member from Llanwenog YFC, Ceredigion was elected as vice-chairman of the committee.

The Training and Promotions committee, which looks at training for the members and ensures that Wales YFC is promoted effectively, elected Lucy Stonebridge, Howey YFC, Radnor as the committee chairman and Martin Roberts, Bodedern YFC, Ynys Môn as the vice-chairman of the committee.

The Youth Forum, the sub-committee that represents the members under 18 elected their chairman and vice-chairman for the year during a volunteering residential trip to the Amelia Trust Farm. Sioned Davies of Edw Valley YFC in Radnor was elected as the chairman for the forthcoming year and Emily Lloyd from Eglwyswrw YFC in Pembrokeshire was elected as the vice-chairman.

These new officers will work alongside Gwenno Griffith, Wales YFC chairman and Kate Miles, the vice-chairman during the year to ensure that Wales YFC offer a varied programme for its members.

Currently the Eisteddfod committee chairman is Joy Cornock, Fishguard YFC, Pembrokeshire and the vice-chairman is Fiona Bridle, Penmynydd YFC in Ynys Môn and the Board of Management Chairman is Delme Harries, past Wales YFC Chairman from Pembrokeshire.
