Repair, renewal and construction works will lead to a series of overnight closures of the Llantrisant West Level Crossing in Coedcae Lane, Pontyclun, the first of which happens this weekend.
External contractors will be carrying out the works and motorists will be given an alternative route to use for the duration of the scheme. Rhondda Cynon Taf Council has become involved due to the legalities surrounding road closures, but have no involvement in the work or the closures.

Atkins Ltd, which is carrying out the works, has put in place an alternative route. All motorists are urged to take note of advisory signs in the area.
Motorists travelling from the north side of the closure will be directed along Coedcae Lane to the A473 Talbot Green bypass into the A4222 Cowbridge Road/Llantrisant Road, then Llanharry Road and then back towards the Llantrisant West level crossing.
The route for drivers travelling in the opposite direction is the reverse of above.
