Let's Talk Money

Age Cymru Wales

Let's Talk Money is Age Cymru's annual campaign to encourage older people to claim money that is rightfully theirs.

Around 50,000 older people in Wales live in severe poverty and 200,000 have told us they have cut back on food, heating, and social activities for financial reasons.

But did you know that across the UK, more than £5 billion of means-tested benefits go unclaimed by older people every year?

Age Cymru wants all older people to have an adequate standard of living.

With our Wales-wide network of local charity partners we have helped older people to claim £13 million in benefits they may not otherwise have received.

For a copy of our guide ‘More money in your pocket – a guide to claiming benefits for people over pension age’ and details of your nearest Age Cymru, call our advice line on 08000 223 444.
