The annual Santa Run takes place at the Dare Valley Country Park, Aberdare, on Sunday, December 8 - and people of all ages are being urged to enjoy all the festive fun.

Starting at 11am, there will be two events on the day - a 5km Santa Run and a 2km Santa Family Run (suitable and accessible for wheelchair users). Registration opens at the Dare Valley Country Park at 9.30am on the day.

Organised by Rhondda Cynon Taf Council, all proceeds raised will go to the Mayor’s Charity Appeal, this year supporting Guide Dogs Cymru, Macmillan Cancer Support (RCT) and Diabetes Peer Support for Children (RCT).

All those taking part are being encouraged to get into the festive spirit and dress in Santa suits! The day will also incorporate a Christmas Market.

Entry to the Santa Run is £6 (adults) and £4 (children). This includes entry to the run, a Santa suit, a medal to all junior finishers, and a mince pie and a hot drink to all finishers.
