Inclement Weather

aberdare_park31.jpg

Residents, especially motorists, are warned inclement weather will continue to affect the County Borough, with further freezing temperatures and snow expected over the coming days.

Rhondda Cynon Taf Council staff continue to monitor the weather situation and respond accordingly. At present, snow is predicted for the county borough this evening and overnight, which is likely to cause disruption to roads, schools and public transport. The latest information will be posted on the website when it becomes available so please keep returning for updates.

Further snow is also expected for Thursday evening into Friday and, again, the council is preparing for difficult conditions.

As well as regular treatment of the network routes, they have also been responding to community concerns and changing weather conditions and temperatures. Staff and response plans have been checked to ensure essential services are protected as far as possible, with a focus on protection of the elderly and the vulnerable.

Residents are once again urged to be on their guard and take care when they are out and about, especially if they are using their vehicles.

Those who have elderly friends, family members and neighbours are urged to check on them to ensure they are alright and to visit this website for the latest updates, including weather conditions, road closures, school closures and other useful information.

Find out the latest information, including school closures and the road situation, which includes a map of the essential road network, on the inclement weather page
