Inclement Weather

Inclement Weather one snow flake

Rhondda Cynon Taf Council staff worked throughout the night, gritting the roads network to protect residents and motorists as inclement weather conditions arrived.

Further inclement weather is expected and residents, especially motorists, are urged to be on their guard and expect further difficult conditions.

The essential road network that includes the major and strategic routes our residents and businesses rely on the most was gritted fully at 3pm yesterday (Monday) in anticipation of inclement weather and again at 1am this morning.

This effort by staff included the full treatment of all three mountain roads twice to protect motorists and respond to community concerns. The team have been out again at 7.30 this morning and now are working to patrol and monitor the county borough, responding to reports of difficult conditions and community concern.
