More than 700 people of all ages stepped out for the sixth annual Rhondda Walk in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support on Saturday, June 14.
Rhondda Cynon Taf’s Mayor, Cllr John Watts, officially started the walk, which set off from Treherbert playing fields. Participants then visited every village in the Rhondda, finishing at Trehafod.
“I was delighted to be able to start the Walk and it was wonderful to see so many people of all ages taking part,” said Cllr Watts, who was joined on the day by his wife and consort Anne.
“Macmillan Cancer Support is one of my chosen charities this year and is a cause very close to my heart. Well done to everyone who took part and I hope many hundreds of pounds will be raised as a result of their efforts.”
