FLOOD FORECAST STATEMENT: 1500hrs
Heavy rain forecast across Wales over the next 24 hours
Natural Resources Wales is asking people to be alert for localised flooding as the Met Office are forecasting heavy showers to affect large areas of Wales this evening and into Thursday.
This could lead to localised flooding as drains, ditches and small streams will be unable to cope with the possible torrential rain.
Whilst the most of Wales is likely to be affected by the rain, the worst is forecast to impact more in the south of the country.
People travelling to and from work are advised to take extra care as driving conditions may be hazardous.
People should also avoid walking or driving through any flood waters as they could become trapped or swept away.
Flood alerts and flood warnings are updated on the Natural Resources Wales website every 15 minutes and are available to view at www.naturalresourceswales.gov.uk/alerts
