Natural Resources Wales is asking people to be alert for localised flooding as heavy showers are expected to affect north west and south west Wales today (Friday 06/09/13) and into Saturday afternoon.
Between 25 to 50mm of rain is expected across these areas as well as isolated heavier bursts which could lead to localised flooding of road surfaces, and flooding from drains, ditches and small streams.
People travelling over the weekend are advised to take extra care and allow extra time for their journey as driving conditions may be hazardous.
Natural Resources Wales is advising people to keep an eye on weather reports and local news for details of any disruption in their area.
Flood alerts and flood warnings are updated on the Natural Resources Wales website every 15 minutes and are available to view at www.naturalresourceswales.gov.uk/alerts
