Two fun-packed events coming up next month aim to raise funds for the charities supported by Rhondda Cynon Taf’s Mayor.
Mayor Cllr Ann Crimmings has chosen to support Guide Dogs Cymru, Macmillan Cancer Support (RCT) and Diabetes Peer Support for Children (RCT) as her charities during her year of office.
A Quiz Night in aid of the mayor’s charities will be held on Friday, November 8 at Pontypridd Rugby Football Club, Sardis Road. Teams of up to six people are invited to take part, with all funds raised going to the Mayor’s Charity Appeal.
Ian Cooper will be hosting the quiz, which will be a mix of general knowledge, sport, music and a picture round. Teams are asked to arrive for 6.30pm for a 7pm start. There will be a buffet at the interval and tickets cost £5 per person.
On Friday, November 29, comedy and vocal entertainer Gary Le Vell will appear at Trallwn Social Club, Trallwn, Pontypridd from 7.30pm in aid of the Mayor’s Charity Appeal. Tickets for this adults-only show cost £5 each.
Cllr Crimmings said: "One of the most pleasant roles during my year in office as Mayor is being involved in raising money for good causes, and the charities I’ve chosen to support are very personal to me.
"I hope local people will come along to these two events, which promise to be a lot of fun and will help raise funds for three very worthy causes."
