Plaid Cymru the Party of Wales MEP Jill Evans has hosted a group of students from Gower College studying Public Services. They visited the European Parliament as part of a study trip to Belgium.

Jill Evans MEP is pictured with the group at the European Parliament in Brussels, along with group leader Robert Evans, who is the course tutor and lecturer for the BTEC National in Public Services.

Jill Evans MEP said:

“It was a pleasure to host this group. I always encourage as many people as possible from Wales to visit the parliament as it plays such an important role in the decisions that affect all our daily lives.

“I see my job as promoting the Welsh national interest at every opportunity. That includes ensuring that my constituents understand how the European Parliament works and how we want to make it more open and democratic.

"As part of the West Wales and the Valleys region, the whole Swansea area benefits hugely from European funding. It is vital that we make Europe work for Wales.”
