Following the snow.....

Anyone know what has happened to the binmen? Last sighted in Penderyn on 11th January....they can't still be stuck in a snowdrift.

Yes they must be lost in the

Yes they must be lost in the snow, and today the management have them filling up grit bins ready for the snow predicted next week because they have not been round Aberaman today.

Windy tonight bags every ware by the morning when are they starting the fortnightly collections anyone know?

On the way to work yesterday

On the way to work yesterday they were like daleks .... must have been out in force from Godreaman to Hirwaun.

I don't think the labour run

I don't think the labour run cabinet and senior directors at RCTC appreciate the services the bin men provide.

Why are they picking on them? what would it be like if our rubbish was not collected for 2 months, out in all weathers they should not be picked on, I expect they are on a low wage as it is.

Dont know if true but I was

Dont know if true but I was told RCT binmen are the best paid in Wales.

Think they do a good joba nd out in all weathers too

Think they are on quite a

Think they are on quite a cushy number tbh, early start and finish and well paid. Not a pleasant job nonetheless but where's the muck there's brass as the saying goes.

If they are well paid and I

If they are well paid and I say if as not sure if its correct they are the best paid bin men in wales, then they do alright I guess with the early finishing and job on knock as they say.

Its still a hard job though in all weathers

I don't know about the bin

I don't know about the bin men but there can't be much happening around the valleys as this subject has been on here now for days.

No wonder the valleys are in decline if nothing much is going on there.

I look every day for news but the BIN MEN are the big news of the week.

Back to sleep everyone.

lol, true, Cymro are you in

lol, true,

Cymro are you in Perth?

Yes Unclehazel I live in

Yes Unclehazel I live in Perth Western Australia and have done for 26 years, A nice city, lovely environment if you can take the heat as it gets quite warm here, This week hasn't been below 35C degrees as even the last couple of months and it can get up over 40C degrees on times, It would be nice if we got rain more often as we haven't seen any for a couple of months at least but if man could control that we'd be in bigger trouble as he cocks up most things he messes with.

I still call the Rhondda "HOME" as it will always be to me and I will return there one day one way or another. It's the "Hiraeth" in me I suppose.

Have a nice day friend with best wishes from "Down Under."

P.S. 38C degrees tomorrow.

Haha I am in Cannington

Haha I am in Cannington mate! Agree on the temp, 40c+ is just too hot especially when your outside in construction ; )
