Families can enjoy a showcase of the great, free services available to them – from free toy and game hire to support for parents – at three Family Fun Days this month, run by Rhondda Cynon Taf Council.
Children and their families are invited to the half-term fun days at Abercynon Leisure Centre on Tuesday, February 25; Rhondda Sports Centre, Ystrad on Wednesday, February 26 and Llantrisant Leisure Centre on Friday, February 28, 2014 from 11am-3pm each day.
Children can enjoy free tasters of the activities available throughout the year via existing play schemes, initiatives and events – including arts and crafts, storytelling, face painting and a climbing wall. Parents and other family members can join in activities and find out more about support and services available to them throughout Rhondda Cynon Taf.
Cllr Annette Davies, Cabinet Member for Children’s Social Services, said: “Rhondda Cynon Taf Council is determined to ensure all children and young people in the county borough have a safe, stable and nurturing family life so they can grow and develop..
“We have had a great turn out at these events in the past and I hope many more families will come along for some fun and to find out about the great, free services and activities that are on offer all year round.”
The fun days are organised by the Council’s Early Years and Family Support Service..
