My name is Tegan Rees and I am 4 months old. My family and I wanted to thank you, as without your help I would not be here!

It all started when my Mum caught a virus when she was expecting me, I was just 20 weeks old. Things normally turn out fine, but I caught the virus from her and became quite anaemic.

Luckily, the wonderful doctors realised I was quite sick and at 26 weeks I was given a blood transfusion through my mummy’s tummy to my umbilical cord!!! The transfusion was a success and I began to feel better straight away.

After that I made brilliant progress and I was born normally at 37 weeks.

My family and I would just like everyone to realise how important it is to give blood, it saves lives; it saved mine!
