Essential Road Works In Porth

Essential Road Works In Porth

Residents and motorists are being reminded that essential road resurfacing works, which will affect the one-way system in Porth, are to be carried out on Sunday 11th May.

The works are taking place on a Sunday, when traffic levels are lower, to minimise disruption.

The important works to resurface roads in Porth town centre form part of the Council’s ongoing commitment to respond to the public demand to improve the condition of roads and highways.

Diversions will be in place during the works and motorists are urged to follow the signage.

The road closures are:

· Eirw Road and Pontypridd Road between the Chequered Flag car sales from 3pm to 6.30pm. Traffic will diverted along the bypass to Porth Square and then around the gyratory system. Alternatively traffic can leave the bypass at Llwyncelyn Road prior to Eirw Road

· Pontypridd Road between Morrisons’ access road and Station Street will be closed from 4.30pm to 8pm. For this closure the traffic will be diverted along Hannah Street
