Ponty Presley

Elvis fans can get ‘all shook up’ at a tribute night in May, in aid of the Mayor of Rhondda Cynon Taf’s Charity Appeal.

The fabulous Ponty Presley will perform hits made famous by the King of Rock ’n’ Roll at Trallwn Workingmen’s Club, Coedpenmaen Road, Pontypridd, on Friday, May 2, 2014, from 8pm.

Proceeds from the night will go to the charities supported by Mayor Cllr Ann Crimmings during her year in office - Guide Dogs Cymru, Macmillan Cancer Support (RCT) and Diabetes Peer Support for Children (RCT)

Cllr Crimmings said: “Fans of Ponty Presley tell me everyone is in for a great night of music and fun on May 2. I hope many people will come along and enjoy the night, in aid of three very worthy causes.”

Tickets are £5.00 each from the mayoral office on 01443 494061. The audience are being asked to be seated by 7.30pm on the night, for the 8pm start.

Other great events lined up in the coming months to raise money for the Mayor’s Charity Appeal include:

- An Easter egg hunt for children at beautiful Dare Valley Country Park, Aberdare on April 19 and 20 and Lap the Lake run, also at Dare Valley, on April 20.

- The Welsh Three Peaks Challenge on May 10.

- A Golf Pairs Tournament at Aberdare Golf Club on May 16.

Donations to the Mayor’s Charity Appeal can be made through a new secure online service. Please visit the Mayor's page if you would like to make a donation. Or if you have an idea for a fundraising event, please contact the Mayoral Office on 01443 494061 or email mayor@rctcbc.gov.uk
