Firstly let me explain our project, our Digital Lives project will support the digital inclusion of disabled people across Wales. The project will include the facilitation and delivery of workshops which will raise awareness of the assistive technologies that enable people to get online, increase disabled people’s confidence and knowledge in relation to ICT and encourage disabled people and their organisations to reap the benefits of online services and communication.
These workshops will be held at ten different locations around Wales. Representatives from disabled people's organisations (DPOs) will attend these workshops and in turn will pass the knowledge and skills acquired on to their organisation/groups/individual members.
Basically we are contacting disabled groups in the area, asking for 1-2 representative to attend our workshop which will be trained up and take the knowledge back to their group and train their members – train the trainer.
Our first workshops are Thursday September 12th at The Beaufort Park Hotel Mold, Flintshire, CH7 6RQ
Our proposed workshop on Wednesday, 11th September At Memorial Hall, Amlwch, Anglesey LL68 9ET has been cancelled!!
