South Wales Police is appealing for witnesses to a road traffic collision which occurred on Cardiff Road (A4059) on Monday, 16th September to come forward.

At around 3pm, a Skoda Octavia was driving along Cardiff Road towards Mountain Ash when it veered into the opposite lane and collided with an oncoming Mercedes van.
The 63 year-old driver of the Skoda sustained serious injuries and is currently being treated at Prince Charles Hospital where he is in a critical but stable condition.
A passenger of the van sustained minor injuries which didn’t require hospital treatment.
Anyone who witnessed what happened is urged to call the Roads Policing Unit at Gwaelod Y Garth on 101.
