The event raised more than £1,250 for the three charities supported by Mayor Cllr Ann Crimmings during her year in office - Guide Dogs Cymru, Macmillan Cancer Support (RCT) and Diabetes Peer Support for Children (RCT).

Mayor Cllr Crimmings, who was a special guest at the show, said: “A big thank you to all the young performers who put on a great show filled with popular songs. This is the sixth year running that Tonypandy Community College and the LMT Academy have staged a charity concert.

“I am extremely grateful to everyone involved for helping to raise funds for such good causes.”

The event was compered by Mark Evans, who also sang.
