The Welsh Language Measure 2011 states that a new set of Welsh Language Standards are to be placed upon public bodies which in turn will replace the Health Board’s Welsh Language Scheme.
Following advice from the Welsh Language Commissioner’s Office, Health Boards have been advised to continue with their current Welsh Language Schemes, in the interim, until the new Standards are introduced.
Therefore, Cwm Taf Health Board will continue to implement its existing Welsh Language Scheme until further advice is received from the Welsh Language Commissioner. However, a revised Action Plan has been produced to replace the Action Plan that has recently come to the end of its 3 year cycle.
Copies of the Welsh Language Scheme and a revised Action Plan are available on Sharepoint and on the Health Board website.
