CELEBRITIES CREATE A BUZZ FOR LOCAL BEE CHARITY

Tuesday 1 July Lambeth Palace Garden London 6pm
BBC bee lovers including Sophie Raworth, Kirsty Wark, Jeremy Paxman, James Naughtie and Bill Turnbull will be attending an exclusive bee garden party on July 1st hosted by Martha Kearney from Radio Four, presenter of The Wonder of Bees and Hive Alive.
The sold out charity event is being held in the beautiful gardens of Lambeth Palace where the Archbishop of Canterbury has his own beehives. The party will raise money for Monmouth based Bees for Development and another charity – Bees Abroad.
Guests will include beekeepers from all over the country, food lovers like Yotam Ottolenghi and Chantal Coady from Rococo and politicians from over the river from Westminster. They will be enjoying local produce including Welsh mead kindly provided by New Quay Honey Farm and apple juice from Ross Cider. Lambeth Palace chefs will provide honey themed canapés. There will be honey tasting and an observation hive supplied by the Palace beekeeper. More details at www.beeaid.org.uk
