Commenting on figures obtained by the BBC, which reveal Wales has the longest ambulance waits outside A and E – with one case involving a six-hour delay – Shadow Minister for Health Darren Millar AM said:
“No-one should have to wait this long in the back of an ambulance and urgent action is needed to improve the situation.
“Wales’ appalling performance is another symptom of Labour’s record-breaking NHS cuts and further proof of a legacy of skewed spending priorities.
“Communities the length and breadth of Wales will rightly question why our country is lagging behind England and Scotland. Carwyn Jones and Welsh Labour must now work tirelessly to boost performance and put patients first.”
