Another successful prosecution for violence and aggression towards NHS staff

Two brothers have been found guilty of criminal damage
Two brothers who attacked the car of a health care support worker employed by Cwm Taf University Health Board as they were travelling in Pontypridd town centre on April 9 have each been fined £230.

Both from Taff Street, Merthyr Vale, Merthyr Tydfil both pleaded guilty to criminal damage when they appeared before Pontypridd Magistrates Court on April 20 2014.

Dave Lewis, violence & aggression case manager at the health board said: “Our staff should be free to travel in the community carrying out their duties of providing care to patients without the fear of them or their vehicles being attacked.

“This is another example of the successful partnership working between Cwm Taf University Health Board, South Wales Police and the Crown Prosecution
