The Accidentals Choir

accidentals2.jpg

The Accidentals Choir was formed in 2010 by Eleanor Wilson, an A&E nurse with an extensive musical background, pictured far right.

accidentals2.jpgOriginally the choir members were mainly medical staff from the Royal Glamorgan Hospital - a mix of nurses, doctors, radiographers and close friends and family.

The choir is no longer a "hospital" choir as such, and is now made up of a variety of members from all backgrounds, and Matthew, the keyboard player, has an extensive musical background and career.

The Accidentals Choir has a large repertoire of songs including modern mash-ups, ballads, rock and Christmas carols, and has performed at various concerts, shows, several weddings and charity events.

Recently the choir performed in the Royal Glamorgan Hospital foyer during visiting hours to raise money for charity, and their next performance at the hospital will be on Sunday December 15 at 3pm.

The choir is also singing in the Dynevor Arms, Groesfaen on Wednesday December 18.

accidentals3.jpgThe Accidentals is a mixed 3 part vocal group with approximately 20+ members, but is always looking for new singers, particularly some male voices.

Practice takes place every Thursday in Creigiau Church Hall at 7.30 p.m. – 9 p.m. and anyone interested can just drop-in or access the details from the website www.accidentals.choir.co.uk
